Do you feel the tension?
Do you feel the tension?
Wondering if you’re doing enough today. Wishing you could accomplish more. Working hard and still thinking you’re not measuring up.
God wants our hearts to be at rest in Him—not anxious, not worried, not insecure.
In Isaiah 26, we are reminded that God is the one who makes peace for us. Our successes are from Him, through Him, because of Him.
All of them. No matter what we think we're doing on our own: He's behind it.
“Lord, you establish peace for us;
all that we have accomplished you have done for us,” (Isaiah 26:12).
What would it take for us to let our hearts be calm and still and secure in Him? Calm and still and secure in who He has made us? Calm and still and secure in the ability and time and resources that we have today?
Let’s pray that God will help us to be faithful in what He is calling us to do today.
We don’t have to do tomorrow’s work yet. And, if the season of life we’re in doesn’t allow us to accomplish more when we’re already putting in our best efforts, then this probably isn’t the season for accomplishing whatever that “more” could be.
Can we trust Him that we are enough today? Can we trust Him that He is enough? Can we trust Him that we are right where He wants us to be?
"You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you,” (Isaiah 26:3).
One of the things that helps me to focus and stay in God's peace is keeping the Truth all over my walls. I just added several new Scripture prints to the To Choose Joy Shop.
