...I'm struggling with fear this time around. The risks of these procedures are high, and my heart is heavy with what-if's. But this is what I know: God holds all of the what-if's in His hands...

Several months ago, a friend pointed me to Gretchen Saffles, creator of Life Lived Beautifully. Since then, I have fallen so in love with her incredible ministry, her steady wisdom, her deeply rooted faith, and her genuine life. She helps me, daily, to trust God and to lean into Him for everything.

I'm deeply humbled to have the honor of sharing the story God has been weaving in my life on her blog today!

Where does my help come from?

By the end of a long day, when things didn’t go as I had planned and pain was hitting me hard, I began to feel sorry for myself. I began to wonder if I could take anymore.

Walking through a life of constant physical pain is a journey like I never imagined I would be called to walk. I long for my home in heaven. I long for the new body that I will be clothed in there—a body without pain, without scars, without inability.

What Jesus did for us that very first Easer is the reason that new bodies can be hoped for. As we reflect on the Resurrection this week—I couldn’t think of a more fitting person to introduce you to than my beautiful friend, Alex.
